To mark World Food Day, October. 26-28 d. The support campaign “Share food with the poor” and the education “Good to share” were organized by the Public Institution “Family Valgykla” (Patato Bistro children’s catering) together with the Kaunas branch of the LSB. The organizers of the campaign – lecturer Asta Pipiraitė and Regita Yakobchuk, an employee of LSB Kaunas branch, visited T. Ivanauskas Progymnasium, Rūtelė Primary School and Paparčio Basic School. During the meetings with the fourth graders, food waste was discussed in Lithuania, the children watched a video on this topic and could ask various questions about the activities of the Samaritans. This was followed by educational sessions, during which the children wrote, drew, glued and otherwise colored the wishes on the prepared biscuit packages. These cookies with beautiful,with warm and meaningful wishes we distributed at the food distribution point of Kaunas branch of LSB Partizanų st. 5, Kaune. In addition to these gifts, the school community also collected non-perishable food items, which we also distributed to our needy and cared for individuals and families.
